Orioles Improve to 30-28 with 8-7 Win
|
Baltimore left fielder Marc Peckermark contributed to his team's 8-7 win over the Chicago White Sox. Peckermark, who is tied for 9th in the AL with a .619 slugging percentage, went 2 for 5 with 2 runs scored to lead the offensive attack for the Orioles. Errol Dondale earned the save for Baltimore, his 9th of the year. With the victory, the Orioles upped their record to 30-28.
Baltimore took a 8-3 lead on Peckermark's 15th home run of the season. The grand slam home run, which he hit off Stanislav Mamatsev in the top of the sixth, propelled Baltimore to the win.
"It wasn't a pretty victory," said Peckermark, "but we got it done."
