Montreal Shuts Out Texas Behind Schlosschlonghair, 5-0
|
Kyle Schlosschlonghair kept the opposition off the scoreboard and the Montreal Expos were all smiles after winning 5-0 against the Texas Rangers at Globe Life Park in Arlington today. The left-handed Schlosschlonghair gave up no runs in his start, permitted 5 hits and had 10 strikeouts.
"If there was a stat for 'team shutout,' this would be it," Schlosschlonghair said later. "My catcher called a great game, guys delivered at the plate and when I messed something up the guys behind me were where they needed to be."
In season stats Schlosschlonghair shows a 7-3 record in 12 games, 89.1 innings, 71 strikeouts and a 3.53 ERA.
