Mariners Fall Short, 4-3, at Houston
|
The Houston Astros topped the Seattle Mariners, 4-3, in American League action at Minute Maid Park. The standout performance belonged to Houston pitcher and Little Rock, Arkansas, native Brian Thomas. Thomas got the win, improving to 4-1. He allowed 6 hits and walked 1 over 6 innings. Thomas allowed 2 runs. Seattle's current losing streak is now 4 games.
Trevor Mock, who finished 5th in the AL in batting average with .341 in 2042, contributed to the Houston win with a 2-run home run in the bottom of the second. For the game, the third baseman had 2 hits in 3 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 2 runs batted in.
