Mahoning Valley Punchless in 16-0 Loss to Indians
In a remarkable performance, Spokane Indians starter Shan-tang Chi beat the Mahoning Valley Scrappers 16-0 in an impressive 7-hit shutout.

"My arm felt good, mechanics were good and my stuff was working," he said later. "It doesn't get any better than this."

The Indians hurler finished with 5 strikeouts and no walks. He showed pinpoint control and a sharp fastball.

"It was a rough one for my guys," Mahoning Valley manager Odubel Herrera said following the game. "We weren't at our best and their guy was."

This season Chi has logged no saves. He has thrown 103.2 innings, dished out 115 strikeouts and walked 14 while putting up a 11-2 mark and a 1.48 ERA.
