Braves Prevail, 3-1, Over St. Louis
|
In a low-scoring tilt between the Atlanta Braves and the St. Louis Cardinals, Justin Judson was the difference-maker. The Atlanta right-hander spearheaded the 3-1 win. Marcos Tejeda was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 1 of 2 save opportunities. The 4th-place Braves now have a win-loss record of 28-38.
In the bottom of the second, Austin Mickelson hit a run-scoring double. The 12th double of the season for the Atlanta designated hitter put the Braves on top, 1-0.
"It was a tough night at the plate," said St. Louis manager Jeff Jones.
