Shrewsbury Helps Detroit Cruise to 10-3 Win
Behind the hitting of Randy Shrewsbury, the Detroit Tigers stopped the Chicago White Sox, 10-3. Shrewsbury went 3-5 with a triple and a double, while adding 6 RBI and scoring once for the Tigers. With the win, Detroit raised its record to 35-35.

Shrewsbury contributed a big hit, a bases-clearing triple, for Detroit in the bottom of the third. With his team trailing 3-1, Shrewsbury took a sinker from Xenophon Valvis and stroked the triple to right. His 5th triple of the season allowed the Tigers to leap in front, 4-3.

"I'm just looking for a good pitch that I can hit well," said Shrewsbury. "And not try to do too much."
