Pedroso Hits 2 home runs in Indians Win
|
A good performance from right fielder Hector Pedroso helped the Cleveland Indians defeat the Oakland Athletics, 6-4. Pedroso was 2 for 4 with 2 home runs and a walk. He scored 3 times and drove in 3 for the Indians. Picking up the win was Art Nobles. He went 5.1 innings, allowing 2 runs on 7 hits. The right--hander struck out 1 and walked 1. The win gives the Indians a record of 22-54.
Pedroso contributed a big hit, a 2-run home run, for Cleveland in the top of the fifth. With his team trailing 2-1, Pedroso took a fastball from Mike Staley and stroked the home run to right. His 14th home run of the season allowed the Indians to leap in front, 3-2.
"I felt good up there," said Pedroso. "I saw the ball well."
