Tsuda, Rangers Beat Indians, 6-4
|
Jun Tsuda was instrumental in his team's 6-4 triumph over the Cleveland Indians. The third baseman was 3 for 5 with a home run and a double. He scored 4 runs and drove in 2 for the Texas Rangers. Matt Sigurdson earned the win to go to 3-5. He allowed 1 run on 5 hits, with no walks and 6 strikeouts in 7 innings of work. Kyle Curve recorded the save. In save chances, he's now 6 for 7.
With Texas leading 4-1 in the bottom of the sixth, Tsuda hit a slider from Ben Cole for a 2-run home run. It was his 12th home run of the season and put the Rangers ahead, 6-1.
"Winning is all that really matters and we got it done today," Tsuda told the Texas Herald.
The win puts Texas at 57-27 this season.
