Velasco goes 3-for-3 as Blue Jays Squeeze Past New York
Good production from designated hitter Ruben Velasco helped the Toronto Blue Jays topple the New York Mets, 10-9. Velasco was 3-3 with a home run, a double, and a walk. Had Donny Burnside not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and runners on 2nd and 3rd, Burnside hit a 2-run single. That made the score 10-9, in favor of the Blue Jays.
