van den Berg Excels in 8-6 New York Win
The New York Mets beat the St. Louis Cardinals by a score of 8-6. New York shortstop Nelle van den Berg deserved the lion's share of the credit. van den Berg was 4-5 with a home run, a double, and 2 singles. He scored 3 runs and drove in 4 for the Mets.
