Angels Lose to Giants, 6-2
|
Nate Hodson was a major factor in the 6-2 San Francisco win over California. The Giants second baseman was 2 for 4 with a home run, while scoring 2 times. Josh Lister got credit for the win, improving to 5-1. He allowed no runs on no hits in 3.1 innings. Andrew Kindig was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 22 of 25 save opportunities.
Jack Henningar, who led the NL in slugging percentage with .667 in 2031, aided the San Francisco cause with a run-scoring walk in the bottom of the third. For the game, the first baseman went 1-3 with a walk, while adding 2 RBI.
"Feels good to get the job done," Hodson said after the game.
California's current losing streak has reached 4 games.
