Minnesota third baseman Hildo Pot had a good game in a losing cause. His team fell, 11-3, to Toronto at Target Field. Pot went 3 for 4 with a home run and a double, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. Toronto starter Tony Rios was credited with the win after throwing 107 pitches over 6.1 innings. His record now stands at 10-7. Minnesota has now lost 4 in a row.
Kirk Arp took Adam Wood deep in the top of the fifth. His grand slam home run put the Blue Jays on top, 7-3. In all, Arp had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 5.
