Miami beat Philadelphia on the strength of starter Julian Bush's fine effort. The right-hander led his team to a win, 8-2. The win gives the Marlins a record of 30-65.

Dan Zink dealt the Phillies a blow in the bottom of the second. Batting with runners on 1st and 2nd and Miami leading 2-0, Zink hit a 0-1 curveball for a 2-run double.

"It was a solid team effort," said Bush after the game.
