Giants Deal Angels 6-5 Loss
|
No one was more impactful than Jack Henningar in the 6-5 San Francisco win over California. Henningar, who led the NL in OPS with 1.166 in 2037, belted 2 home runs. He drove in 3 runs and scored twice. San Francisco reliever Andrew Kindig got the win, raising his record to 4-2. Ryan Terlizzi was tagged with the loss. Josh Lister was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 2 of 3 save opportunities.
Henningar had a game-changing home run in the top of the tenth. On a 2-1 cutter from Ryan Terlizzi, he banged a solo home run to right, giving the Giants a 6-5 lead. It was the 28th home run of the year for Henningar.
"This game tested our mettle," said Henningar.
The Giants saw their record improve to 47-53.
