Bramble Helps New York Cruise to 10-3 Win
The home crowd had a good time watching the Montreal Expos and New York Yankees get after it.

The New York Yankees knocked off the Montreal Expos, 10-3, at Yankee Stadium. David Bramble was a big reason New York won. The right fielder went 2-2 with a home run and a double. He scored 2 runs and drove in 4. New York pitcher James Woods Jr. got the win, upping his record to 7-8. Chet Tague got the loss.

Bramble had a key at-bat for New York early in the game. With runners on 1st and 2nd, he hit a 3-run home run. It was his 16th home run of the season and gave New York an early 3-0 lead.

"We maximized our offense today," said New York skipper Carl Arnold. "That makes everyone's life easier."

New York now sits at 51-55, while Montreal falls to 62-42.
