Giants Take Down Cardinals, 7-6
|
Jack Henningar was a major factor in the 7-6 San Francisco win over St. Louis. The Giants first baseman was 2 for 5 with a home run, a double, and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 3. The third-place Giants now have a win-loss record of 51-54.
The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the 12th inning, when San Francisco third baseman Merrick Geter, facing Brad Jonas, had a run-scoring sacrifice fly. It gave the Giants the 7-6 win.
"Exciting game to play in," said Geter. "Getting the win makes it even better."
