Blue Jays Tagged with 9-5 Loss
The home crowd had a good time watching the Toronto Blue Jays and Boston Red Sox get after it.

The Boston Red Sox beat the Toronto Blue Jays, 9-5, at Fenway Park. The win was due in part to right fielder Brian Gray, who went 2 for 4 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 times and driving in 3. Boston reliever Adam Schneidewind picked up the win, upping his record to 7-1. Chase Schlong absorbed the loss.

Boston took the lead on Gray's 12th home run of the season. The 2-run home run, which came against Chase Schlong in the bottom of the eighth, made the score 7-5, Boston.

"Winning is contagious," said Gray. "We're looking forward to the next game."

Toronto, at 71-38, has lost 4 straight.
