Toronto Beats Boston, 5-1
|
Toronto took on Boston in front of a lively crowd.
Toronto starter Hoof Harted pitched well against the Boston Red Sox at Fenway Park. The right-hander led his team to a win, 5-1. With the victory, the Blue Jays upped their record to 73-38.
It could have been a different outcome for Toronto, had it not been for Bob Branham, the slugging first baseman . Branham contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the fourth inning to put Toronto up, 2-0.
"I really like what we did out there today," Branham said after the game.
