Win Makes Arizona 69-47
|
The home crowd had a good time watching the Los Angeles Dodgers and Arizona Diamondbacks get after it.
The Arizona Diamondbacks beat the Los Angeles Dodgers, 9-4, at Chase Field. Arizona center fielder Andrew Wray II had an outstanding performance. He was 2-2 with 2 singles, a walk, and was hit by a pitch, while scoring 3 runs. Murphy Quirk earned the win to go to 13-4. He allowed 3 runs on 8 hits, with 1 walk and 9 strikeouts in 6 innings of work.
The Diamondbacks got a big at-bat from designated hitter Shiro Suehiro. For the game, Suehiro went 1 for 4 with a home run, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the first, with a runner on 2nd, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 12th home run of the season gave Arizona a 3-1 lead.
"I like the roll we're on," said Arizona manager Bob Stefanski.
Arizona now has a 4-game win streak.
