Torraville Hits 2 home runs in Yankees Win
|
The New York Yankees bested the Boston Red Sox by a score of 5-4, with center fielder Evan Torraville getting the main credit. On the day, Torraville hit 2 home runs, while adding 3 RBI and scoring twice for the Yankees. Francisco Rivas, the winning pitcher, improved to 3-8. He pitched 5.1 innings, giving up 6 hits and 3 runs, while striking out 2 and walking 2. Today's win puts New York at 55-64, while Boston falls to 64-55.
The game turned with no one out in the bottom of the fourth when Torraville, who is tied for 10th in the AL in extra base hits with 56, hit a 2-run home run. It propelled the Yankees into the lead, 4-2.
