Orioles Lose to Indians, 6-2
|
Good production from right fielder Shigem Kubo helped the Cleveland Indians topple the Baltimore Orioles, 6-2. Kubo went 2-3 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 runs and drove in 3 for the Indians. Cleveland pitcher Art Nobles got the win, upping his record to 3-11. Paul Schwartz got the loss. The triumph makes Cleveland 37-82.
Drtian Thaqi went 2 for 3 with 2 singles, while adding 2 RBI for Cleveland. The top prospect had a key at-bat in the bottom of the fourth. With one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 1-1 tie with a run-scoring sacrifice fly off Paul Schwartz. It was his 40th RBI of the season.
"Nice to get this one," said Thaqi. "Wins have been hard to come by."
