Orioles Deal Indians 5-2 Defeat
|
2045 is shaping up to be a forgettable year for the Cleveland Indians.
Baltimore turned a good effort from starter Randy Johnson Jr. into a win over the Cleveland Indians at Progressive Field. The final score was 5-2. Johnson Jr., now 9-9, was the winner. In 8 innings, he gave up 5 hits, while striking out 4, walking 0, and allowing 2 runs.
It could have been a different outcome for Baltimore, had it not been for Robert Handy, the fan favorite . Handy contributed a 3-run home run in the top of the third inning to put Baltimore up, 5-0.
Johnson Jr. called the win the result of "everyone working in tandem."
Baltimore now sits in last place in the American League East Division at 55-65.
