Geisler Pops Two Homers in 8-7 Win for Cincinnati
The Cincinnati Reds topped the St. Louis Cardinals by the score of 8-7, with the largest share of the credit going to first baseman Sean Geisler. Geisler slugged 2 home runs, while adding 3 RBI and scoring twice for the Reds. Ragnar Alqvist notched the win in relief. The right-hander allowed 2 runs on 4 hits in 3.1 innings. His record now sits at 4-2. The win elevated the Reds to 68-57.

It could have been a different outcome for Cincinnati, had it not been for Bruno André, the 26-year old left fielder . André contributed a run-scoring walk in the top of the eighth inning to put Cincinnati up, 8-7.

"It was a nice win for our side today," said Reds manager Jimmy Silveira II. "Not perfect, but we'll take it."
