Nationals Take Down Blue Jays, 4-3
|
Armando Carbajal impressed in the 4-3 Washington win over Toronto. Carbajal, who led the NL in RBI with 151 in 2042, went 3-4 with a home run and a double. He scored 2 times and drove in 2. Washington reliever Keith Pratt picked up the win, upping his record to 9-0. Bobby Wright absorbed the loss. The Nationals, at 87-40, have a comfortable 15½-game lead in their division.
The Nationals procured the win, in large part because of right fielder C.J. Beavers. In the bottom of the tenth, he produced the game-winning run-scoring double.
"The house was rockin'," said Carbajal.
