Nationals Raise Rally Flag, Beat New York, 6-4
|
Washington picked up a win at Nationals Park, bumping off the New York Mets, 6-4. Pitcher Tim Wybenga was a major reason the Nationals emerged victorious. Washington pitcher Keith Pratt got the win. He's now 10-0. Ben Dicks was tagged with the loss. Chris Baran earned his 30th save in 33 chances.
Washington took a 6-4 lead on Luis Torres's 22nd home run of the season. The 2-run home run came off New York pitcher Ben Dicks in the bottom of the eighth.
"Feels good to get the job done," Wybenga said after the game.
With the win, Washington upped its record to 90-41.
