Athletics Win 3-2 Walk-Off
|
In a low-scoring affair between the Oakland Athletics and the California Angels, pitcher Taek-gyun Kym was the difference between victory and defeat. The Oakland right-hander earned accolades in the 3-2 Athletics win. The Athletics raised their record to 48-85.
Jorge Bernal was the walk-off hero for Oakland. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Athletics second baseman hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.
"We'll savor this win," Kym told the Oakland Bulletin, "then get ready for the next game."
