The Colorado Rockies and Arizona Diamondbacks were greeted by an enthusiastic crowd.
David Price Jr. made an impact in the 11-1 Arizona win over Colorado. Price Jr., who is tied for 9th in the NL with a .331 batting average, was 3-4 with 2 home runs and a walk, while adding 4 RBI and scoring twice. Marcus Wolfe got the win, improving to 11-9. He worked 8 innings, giving up 1 run on 9 hits, while striking out 7 and walking 0.
It could have been a different outcome for Arizona, had it not been for Shiro Suehiro, the 28-year old right fielder . Suehiro contributed a 2-run single in the top of the fourth inning to put Arizona up, 5-1.
"If you pitch well, you give yourself some opportunities," said Arizona manager Bob Stefanski.
Arizona has now won 5 straight.
