7-3 Loss Deepens Baltimore Funk
|
C.J. Beavers left his imprint on the 7-3 Washington win against the Baltimore Orioles. Beavers, who is tied for 5th in the NL with a .338 batting average, went 3-3 with 3 singles and a walk, while scoring 2 and driving in 2. The National League East Division-leading Nationals have a record of 95-42.
In the bottom of the third, with Washington leading 1-0, the Orioles allowed the Nationals to go up, 2-0, on a base hit and Baltimore error.
"One win at a time, one game at a time. We try not to get too far ahead of ourselves," Beavers told the Washington Daily.
