Mariners Make It 6 in a Row with 6-3 Win
|
The home crowd had a good time watching the Kansas City Royals and Seattle Mariners get after it.
The Seattle Mariners defeated the Kansas City Royals, 6-3. Doing his part was first baseman Floyd-William Goof, who went 2-4 with a home run. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. The win belongs to Lance Crumpton in relief. His record improves to 7-4. Oscar Banda took the loss for Kansas City.
With Seattle leading 2-1 in the bottom of the second, Goof hit a curveball from Oscar Banda for a 3-run home run. It was his 33rd home run of the season and put the Mariners ahead, 5-1.
"We try to keep the mood light around here," said Goof. "Winning helps."
The winning streak has now reached 6 games for the Mariners.
