10 Straight Wins for Nationals
Washington first baseman Junzo Kato helped his team beat the Miami Marlins, 5-3. Kato, who is tied for 8th in the NL in RBI with 101, went 2 for 3 for the Nationals. Manuel Romero, who went 8 innings, was the winning pitcher. He was charged with 3 runs on 8 hits, while walking 1 and striking out 5. His record now stands at 9-9. Chris Baran got the save, his 35th in 38 chances.

Washington took a 5-3 lead on John Sanders's 25th double of the season. The 2-run double, which Sanders hit in the top of the ninth, left Miami pitcher John Bialon shaking his head.

"You can't get too high when things go well, or too low when things go bad. Right now, I'm just happy we got the win," Kato told the Washington Daily.

Washington has an impressive 102-42 record.
