Orioles Rally to Eke Out Win
In the 6-5 Baltimore win over Boston, the impact of Brad Pepin was substantial. Pepin, who finished 5th in the AL in doubles with 43 in 2040, went 3 for 5 with a home run and a double. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Errol Dondale was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 26 of 34 save opportunities. At 66-78, the Orioles find themselves in last place in the American League East Division.

Pepin had a game-changing home run in the top of the tenth. On a first pitch fastball from Guadalupe Vasguez, he banged a solo home run to center, giving the Orioles a 6-5 lead. It was the 31st home run of the year for Pepin.

"We cashed in when we had the chance," said Baltimore manager Jim White.
