Royals Sneak Past Indians, 4-3
|
The Cleveland Indians got a superb performance from pitcher Jon Glenn, but the Kansas City Royals still won the game, 4-3. Glenn threw 8.0 innings of 3-hit ball. Skyler Webster earned his 3rd save in 5 chances. With the win, Kansas City upped its record to 84-64.
It could have been a different outcome for Kansas City, had it not been for Manny Estrada, the 24-year old first baseman . Estrada contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the tenth inning to put Kansas City up, 4-3.
"I was a little disappointed," said Cleveland manager Don Indians. "We could've and should've scored more runs."
