Mets Earn 4-3 Win Versus Braves
|
The New York Mets did just enough to sneak past the Atlanta Braves, 4-3, at Citi Field. New York pitcher Matt McAtee, in particular, had a standout performance. The second-place Mets have won 5 straight games.
New York took a 4-2 lead on Roberto Magne's 11th home run of the season. The 3-run home run came off Atlanta pitcher Johnny Munoz in the bottom of the eighth.
"We found a way to get it done," McAtee said.
