Phillies Squelch Marlins Offense in Shutout Win
Philadelphia Phillies starter Robby Benchio turned in an exceptional performance against the Miami Marlins at Citizens Bank Park, resulting in a Philadelphia win, 4-0. Benchio got the win, improving to 10-8. He allowed 6 hits and walked 1 over 6.1 innings. Benchio allowed no runs. Philadelphia now has a 3-game win streak.

In the top of the seventh, Greg Herzig stood in the box, looking for a pitch to hammer. The Marlins were trailing 4-0, but had the bases loaded. That's when Lennart Hjelm made a terrific pitch and Herzig struck out. Gone was the dream of a Miami comeback.
