White Sox Win, Navarro drives in 5 runs
|
Led by Leo Navarro, the Chicago White Sox defeated the St. Louis Cardinals, 11-4. Navarro went 2 for 4 with a home run, a double, and a walk. He scored 2 runs and drove in 5 for the White Sox. Chicago has an impressive 107-53 record.
With Chicago leading 2-0 in the top of the third, Navarro hit a sinker from Nate Crow for a 3-run home run. It was his 14th home run of the season and put the White Sox ahead, 5-0.
In postgame comments to the Chicago Bulletin, Navarro said, "If the effort is there, the wins will come."
