It seemed Boston (WIN) Red Sox shortstop Brandon Perris could do no wrong today, but it still didn't come out right.

The Red Sox fell against the Asheville Tourists by the score of 12-10. Perris did all he could, rapping out 5 hits in 5 at-bats, but in the end, Asheville prevailed at JetBlue Park.

"I felt real good today, but my best just wasn't enough," Perris said in the postgame interview. "We didn't play well enough to win. I saw the ball well and put the ball in play well, and they fell in for base hits. Some days they do that."
