The Atlanta Braves defeated the New York Mets, 9-0, at Citi Field. Atlanta left fielder Austin Mickelson had a superb performance. He hit 3 home runs, while adding 7 RBI and scoring three times. The victory makes Atlanta 2-1.

In the top of the first of a scoreless game, Mickelson hit a 3-run home run to put his team ahead.

"It feels good to get this one," Mickelson told the Atlanta Herald.
