Ringwood Belts Bunch of Base Hits
|
There are moments in a player's career that they will not soon forget.
Chris Ringwood of the Los Angeles Dodgers had one such moment at AT&T Park today, when he went 5 for 5 at the plate. His hitting heroics weren't enough to pull out the victory, however, and Los Angeles fell to a 6-5 defeat to the San Francisco Giants.
"This was quite a day for me individually, but a little disheartening at the same time," the 32-year-old left fielder told reporters in the postgame interview. "It would have been very special if we had won the game."
Chris Ringwood singled in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off Ted Mosley in the 3rd, singled in the 6th, hit an RBI double in the 7th and doubled in the 9th.
To date this season Ringwood is hitting .359 with 3 home runs.
