Tuckfard, Diamondbacks Beat Phillies, 8-2
|
Arizona and Philadelphia got after it at Citizens Bank Park.
The Arizona Diamondbacks beat the Philadelphia Phillies, 8-2, at Citizens Bank Park. Perry Tuckfard, in particular, was impressive. He was 2 for 3 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 5 runs and scored once. Gerardo Camacho, credited with the win, is now 1-2. He allowed no runs on no hits.
Tuckfard had an important at-bat with a runner on 3rd in the top of the eighth, when he hit a sacrifice fly. The Diamondbacks went on to win.
"I felt we were ready to go," said Arizona manager Bob Stefanski. "Our pregame was pretty good."
Arizona goes to 9-6.
