Braves Lose to Expos, 4-2
|
Montreal Expos starter Anass Rhammar turned in an exceptional performance against the Atlanta Braves at Quebecor Stadium, resulting in a Montreal win, 4-2. Ben Sheets finished to wrap up his 2nd save. The loss drops the Braves to 8-6.
Pete Barutha, who is tied for 8th in the AL in home runs with 4, helped out the Montreal cause in the bottom of the fourth inning with a run-scoring triple. For the game, the left fielder was 3 for 4 with a home run and a triple, while scoring 2 and driving in 2.
"I thought we played a nice game," Barutha told the Montreal Observer. "Good pitching, timely hitting, it was all there."
