White Sox Nip Yankees, 2-1
|
The Chicago White Sox got a stellar performance from pitcher Felix Bernal, who handcuffed the New York offense en route to a win, 2-1, at U.S. Cellular Field. The White Sox, now 15-2, have hit the ground running this season.
Charles Marcel was the walk-off hero for Chicago. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the White Sox third baseman hit a dramatic solo home run to send the teams home.
Marcel called the win the result of "everyone being in sync."
