League Championship Goes the Distance, Tampa Bay (WIN) Prevails
The Tampa Bay (WIN) Rays were paced by a strong offensive output from Davion Lewis as they downed the Kansas City (WIN) Royals 4-3 to win the League Championship.

Tampa Bay (WIN) won the final game by a score of 7-4 at Surprise Stadium to send themselves off to the World Series.

"I wasn't so much focused on putting up big offensive numbers as I was about ensuring we won the games. So it's mission accomplished there," said left fielder Lewis, who was named MVP.

For the series, the MVP hit .419 with a .471 on-base percentage. He had 0 home runs, drove in 4 RBI and scored 8 runs.
