Cincinnati got a strong outing from Eddie Grape as the Reds defeated the New York Mets, 6-0, at Great American Ball Park. The loss drops the Mets to 17-8.
Omar Quintana hit a 3-run home run off Zachary DeVault in the bottom of the first, which put the Reds ahead, 3-0. In addition to the homer, Quintana had 1 double, while going 2 for 4.
"We'll savor this win," Quintana told the Cincinnati Herald, "then get ready for the next game."
