Tinoco Batters Lexington for 5 Hits
A jubilant Sergio Tinoco joined the postgame press conference at Whitaker Bank Ballpark today to offer some unusual words of encouragement -- for the Lexington Legends pitching staff he had just vanquished.

"It may not have looked like it," said the Greenville Drive left fielder, "but I saw some awful good pitches today. If luck hadn't been on my side it might have turned out a lot different."

That would not have been the conclusion of anyone who saw his dominant 5-for-6 hitting performance, which led the Drive to a 29-2 win.

"He made it look easy," said Tyler Sturdevant, manager of the Legends. "We never figured out what to do with him. Obviously."

Sergio Tinoco walked in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 2nd, hit a three-run triple in the 3rd, walked in the 5th, hit a two-run double in the 5th, flied out in the 6th, singled in the 7th and singled in the 9th.

In this current campaign Tinoco is hitting at a .300 clip with no home runs and 22 RBIs.
