Jones Bangs Out 5 Base Hits Sunday, January 1st , 2045 It was nearly a perfect day for Mark Jones at BB&T Ballpark. Although the Winston-Salem Dash second baseman was sensational at the plate, collecting 5 base hits in 5 at-bats, it just wasn't enough to keep the Dash from falling to the Potomac Nationals. Potomac spoiled his great day at the plate by taking a 14-13 win. Mark Jones singled in the 2nd, hit a two-run double in the 3rd, hit an RBI single in the 4th, doubled in the 6th, walked in the 7th and singled in the 9th. This year Jones has no home runs and a .384 batting average. |
