Round 2 Goes the Distance, Tampa Prevails Saturday, February 4th , 2045 The Tampa Yankees and Daytona Tortugas hooked up in a classic Round 2 that went right down to the wire. In the end, it's Tampa heading off to the Round 3, after a 4-2 win at Jackie Robinson Ballpark tonight earned the 3-2 series win. Outside Jackie Robinson Ballpark, whether they were supporters of Tampa or Daytona, many fans talked about how it was a series they would never forget. Mike Gifford played the hero for the Yankees in the series, as his MVP performance included a .421 batting average, with a .476 on-base percentage. He also had 1 home runs, 2 RBI and scored 4 runs. The Tampa Yankees will play against the Stockton Ports in the next round. Stockton won their series against the Palm Beach Cardinals 3 games to 0.
