Monroe Takes Home B Outstanding Pitcher Award
Tuesday, March 7th , 2045
It was a glorious year for Elliot Monroe of the Frederick Keys.

He finished the season with 6 victories and only 1 loss, with an impressive 2.26 ERA. The talented Keys pitcher started 10 games and struck out 66 batters in 63.2 innings and won the B Division Outstanding Pitcher Award.

"It means a lot," Monroe said. "I hadn't really had a chance to sit down and think about it yet. It feels good right now. I can't really put it into words, but I'm sure later on tonight when I have a chance to sit down with my family and think about it, I'll have some words for it. But right now, I'm just happy that it happened this year."

He received 30 first place votes, as a unanimous winner. Mike Staus of the Lancaster JetHawks finished second in voting, while Matt Zambon of the Lynchburg Hillcats finished third.
