National League Selects Best Performer Monday, June 5th , 2045 So far in his young career, Nick Wilkins has kept a low profile, but after his performance at the plate last week, he attracted the notice of the rest of the National League in a big way as he was named the Player of the Week today for his efforts. The 25-year-old West Virginia Power first baseman hit at a torrid .800 clip as he collected 4 hits in 5 at-bats, 2 home runs, 6 RBIs and 3 runs scored. So far this season Wilkins has put up a .290 batting average with 9 hits, 2 home runs and 7 RBIs. |
