Sousa and Machida Fight, Get Suspended Wednesday, June 14th , 2045 After an intense confrontation, both the TinCaps James Sousa and the Mets Iwao Machida were handed their punishments today. The league commissioner's office issued suspensions for an on-the-field conflict that occurred at a recent Fort Wayne-Binghamton game. James Sousa will miss 5 games, while Iwao Machida was suspended for 3 games. "Sometimes we go too far and have to pay the consequences," James Sousa commented later. "Hopefully cooler heads will prevail the next time we play." This season Sousa is batting .196 with 19 hits and 3 home runs. He has scored 13 times and has 15 RBI.
