5-Hit Game for Rauda
Thursday, July 27th , 2045
Some moments become linked with a particular player's career forever. Robert Rauda of the Peoria Chiefs had one of those moments when he went 5-for-5 at the plate today in the 13-7 win over the Fort Wayne TinCaps at Parkview Field.
"I won't forget this anytime soon, and I don't expect it to happen too often," the 24-year-old left fielder told reporters in the postgame interview. "I'll be happy to just get a hit or two every day. Enough to hang around the league a while longer. Like 10, maybe 15 more years."
Robert Rauda doubled in the 2nd, singled in the 3rd, doubled in the 5th, hit a two-run home run off Bill Jacobs in the 7th and hit a solo-shot off Jose Diaz in the 9th.
To date this season Rauda is hitting .310 with 6 home runs.
